Install the CLI
Download the latest CLI and verify its release checksum:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/jiovannish/client/releases/latest/download/install.sh | shRequires OpenSSH. Windows support requires Jio v0.2.1 or later.
Check that the installation succeeded:
jio --versionLog in
Authenticate the CLI.
jio login '<your-api-key>'This verifies your API key and stores your credentials locally.
Create a VM
Create your first cloud sandbox:
jio createThis creates the VM and asks whether you want to connect.
Configuration and usage
Run jio config to change the default VM size. Run jio usage to check your
current resource allocation.
Next steps
You now have a running Jio microVM.
Run a coding agent
Start Codex inside the workspace:
jio yolo codex <session-id>See Coding agents for supported agents and the security tradeoffs of unattended mode.
Clean up when finished
Permanently delete the VM and its retained files:
jio destroy <session-id> --yesLearn more
